  • It's laughable how some people think networking ends after exchanging contacts. When actually, that’s where real networking starts.

You go to events, meet smart people, collect cards, and then… nothing.
No follow-up. No real connection. Just ghosting and WhatsApp status viewing.

If you're serious about building profitable business relationships, read this will save you years of missed opportunities.

The fact is that relationships are built in the follow-up.
    Opportunities grow in consistency.
And visibility without value makes you forgettable.

The most successful people nurture relationships before they ever need anything. They don’t just show up when you’re “blowing.”

If you want better results from your network? Start like this:
After a meeting, send a message within 24 hours.
Share a resource that helps them.
Check in every few weeks without asking for a favor.

Your network is not your net worth unless you're actively building it.

    Actionable tip:
Choose one person you met recently and send them a thoughtful follow-up today. No pitch. Just care and value.

P.S. Need content marketing that helps you attract real opportunities and quality clients? Let's talk, send me a message today!

  • MORNING TEA

    THURSDAY AUGUST 7, 2025.

    IMMOVABLE.

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
    Acts 20:24, NKJV-
“But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy.”

    TODAY'S WORD:
It’s great when feelings assist us, when we feel hopeful, positive, and encouraged. But you can’t depend on those feelings because they come and go. Feelings can lead you astray. If you’re only going to have a good mood if things go your way, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. That’s surface living. You have to go deeper and say as Paul did, “None of these things move me. I’m not going to let other people, delays, or what doesn’t work out sour my day.” In other words, turn it over to God. You’re not supposed to go through life carrying around worries, stress, disappointments, and discouragement. Yes, you have some negative feelings, but you don’t have to let the feelings have you. You may feel upset, but you don’t have to act on it. You may feel offended, but you don’t have to take the offence. You may feel discouraged, but you can override it with thoughts that are full of faith, hope, and expectancy. Get your mind going in a new direction and choose to have a good mood.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that I can shut the door on the negative feelings that come against me and keep what You have promised and said about me close to my heart. Thank You that none of these things need to move me. I declare that my hope and expectancy are in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • MORNING TEA

    SATURDAY AUGUST 9, 2025.

    PLANNED LONG AGO.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Jeremiah 29:11, KJV-
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

    TODAY’S WORD:
In life, there are times when it looks as though our opponents—the sickness, the depression, the financial loss—are getting the best of us. It’s easy to get discouraged. You can go through life fighting everything that doesn’t go your way, being worried, negative, and upset. Or you can stay in peace, knowing that God is directing your steps, even the detours and the dead ends. You have to remind yourself that the end has been set by God. When it feels as though you’re far behind, outnumbered, outsized, and outclassed, instead of being discouraged, have a new perspective. It’s not the end. The person who betrayed you didn’t stop God’s plan. The setback didn’t change His ending. The negatives in your life don’t have that kind of power. It just means you’re about to see a major comeback. At any moment things are going to shift in your favour. A good break, a healing, a promotion, or a restoration is coming. God has the final say. He has already established the end and will fulfil His purpose.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that in a very insecure world that I can rest in the security of knowing that my end has been set. Thank You for Your plans for my life, plans that are full of hope and an abundant future. I believe that You make everything work out at the right time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • EVENING TEA

    MONDAY AUGUST 11, 2025.

THE POWER OF ONE KIND WORD.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Proverbs 18:4, NLT
"Wise words are like deep waters; wisdom flows from the wise like a bubbling brook."

    TODAY’S WORD:
People are thirsty. People have gone through heartache. They’ve been pushed down by life. When we think of healing for them, we may think of praying for them, but we need to realise that our words have healing power, like life-giving water. When you’re kind, when you’re encouraging, when you don’t just think something good but you take time to verbalise it, you’re being a healer. We don’t realise the power of one kind word, the power of a simple compliment, the power of “I believe in you. You’re going to make it. Great things are in store.” Your words may seem ordinary to you, but when God breathes life into them, they become extraordinary to the other person.

Somebody needs your healing words today. Somebody won’t get past the depression without you speaking blessings into them. Somebody will give up on their dream unless you step up and encourage them. Will you be a healer today? Will you use your words to lift people?

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. I want to love them like You do. Thank You for transforming my ordinary words into life-giving water for others. I believe that You are making me into a lifter, an encourager, a healer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    TUESDAY AUGUST 12, 2025.

    ROYALTY.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Revelation 5:10, NKJV-
“And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.”

    TODAY’S WORD:
In 2 Samuel 4, after King Saul and his son Jonathan had been killed in battle, Saul’s little grandson, Mephibosheth, was fleeing for his life when he suffered a tragic fall and was disabled, unable to walk. He went from the palace to barely surviving, living in exile in a poor, run-down city named Lo Debar. But the change in his circumstances did not change the fact that he was royalty. Years later, King David brought him back to the palace to live as royalty and restored his family’s land. The Scripture says that God has made us kings. You may feel like you’re living in Lo Debar today, with difficulties coming against you. That’s where you are, but that’s not who you are. Nothing you’ve been through has changed your royal identity. No person who did you wrong, no bad break, and no mistake you’ve made has changed your name. You are still a child of the King of kings with royal blood in your veins. He is about to pick you up, breathe new life into your dreams, and propel you toward your destiny.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for loving me and looking for me because You want me to have all that belongs to me as Your child. Thank You that You see me as royalty no matter what my circumstances look like, even when I’ve failed. I declare that I am becoming more and more like who You say I am. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • MORNING TEA

    WEDNESDAY AUGUST 13, 2025.

    CELEBRATE WHO YOU ARE.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Philippians 1:6, MSG-
There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.

    TODAY’S WORD:
Too many people go through life feeling wrong inside. They get up every morning and take inventory of their faults and weaknesses. There’s nothing the enemy would love more than for you to go through life focused on your failures, how you don’t measure up, being against yourself. Don’t fall into that trap. When he whispers those condemning thoughts, “You blew your diet. You were late to work. You lost your temper. You gave in to that temptation,” just remind yourself that you are not a finished product. You may have some things wrong with you, but you have a lot more right with you. Learn to celebrate who you are and not beat yourself up because of who you’re not. God is changing you from glory to glory. You don’t have to be a finished product before you feel good about yourself. The more you give God thanks for what He’s done, the more He releases strength, favour, and new levels. Keep honouring God, being your best, and He’ll get you to where you’re supposed to be.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for the good work You’re doing in my life, and I am convinced that You will keep developing and bringing it to full completion. Thank You that I can be free from the enemy’s condemnation. I declare that I will not be moved from believing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    TUESDAY AUGUST 19, 2025.

    KNOW ONE THING.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Psalm 56:9, TLB-
The very day I call for help, the tide of battle turns. My enemies flee! This one thing I know: God is for me!

    TODAY’S WORD:
You may feel like the underdog today, and that the odds seem like they’re against you. When the obstacles look bigger, stronger, and more powerful, don’t worry. Since God is for you, that means the odds are for you. Don’t go through life thinking, “I come from the wrong family. The odds are against me.” No, turn it around. “I’ve been born into a new family. My Heavenly Father controls the universe. He is a supernatural God. He parts the Red Seas. He turns water into wine. He opens the eyes of the blind.” You and God are a majority. You don’t need everyone to be for you. You don’t have to have all the support and encouragement. You have the One who matters. The Most High God is breathing in your direction. Don’t let the odds discourage you. Don’t let what you think is not going to happen talk you out of believing. Even if the odds are zero in a million, all God has to do is speak and the odds change in your favour. All through the day, say, “The odds are for me.”

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that I am not on my own, I am not an underdog, and I am equipped for whatever I am facing. Thank You because You are with me, the odds that seem against me are actually for me. I declare that I know this one thing: You are for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
