  • MORNING TEA

    SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6, 2025.

    DO IT IN ADVANCE.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Genesis 12:8, NLT-
There, he built another altar and dedicated it to the LORD, and he worshipped the LORD.

    TODAY’S WORD:
In Genesis 12, God told Abraham that he was going to become the father of many nations, that his descendants would own all the land, that he was going to be blessed and become a great blessing. When Abraham heard this incredible promise, he built an altar and worshipped the Lord. What’s interesting is that the promise hadn’t come to pass. He wasn’t a father, and his wife, Sarah, was barren. He didn’t own any land. Yet he built an altar simply to thank God for what He promised. This is showing us a principle. Don’t wait for the promise to come to pass. Thank God in advance for what He said He would do for you. “God, You said my children will be mighty in the land.” Your child might be running with the wrong crowd, but build your altar now. Thank God before you see the promise. That’s what faith is all about. When God sees your altar, when He hears you thanking Him, praising Him, declaring His goodness, that’s when doors will open, healing will come, and favour is released.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that my faith and trust are anchored to You and the promises in Your Word. Thank You that I don’t have to be moved by the tests and troubles I face because I am fully persuaded You will do what You promised. I declare that my hope is in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • MORNING TEA

    THURSDAY JUNE 26, 2025.

    GIVE IT AWAY.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Luke 6:38, NIV-
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.”

    TODAY’S WORD:
None of us has gotten to where we are by ourselves. Somebody encouraged you, taught you, brought you to church, believed in you, took a chance, and gave you a position, prayed for you. They were instrumental in you being where you are, so why don’t you reach out and help somebody else? Give away what’s been given to you. Sometimes, we live ingrown, focused on ourselves. We’re grateful, we thank God for what He’s done, but that’s not going to sustain His blessings in our life. The real test is, are you taking the time to encourage someone? Are you going out of your way to be good to people? Are you strengthening others? Here’s the key: As long as you keep the encouragement flowing, being good to people, helping them overcome, comforting them, then the blessings are going to keep coming. The healing is going to keep coming, the joy, the fulfilment, the right people. As you give away what God has given you, as you strengthen others, you will always have the “good measure” you need.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for being the God of infinite grace who always exceeds my greatest expectations. Thank You that as I give freely of myself to others, You will bless me to the point of overflowing. I declare that I will give away what You have given to me and bless others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • “Must have 3–5 years’ experience.”

“We need someone who’s trained and ready to hit the ground running.”

Great. But let’s flip the question:

    Did your company train you?

When was the last time your organization sent you for a real workshop, a growth-driven seminar, or an upskilling course?

Experience is not just found — it’s built.

And companies that build their people, build their future.

    Dear employers:

If you don’t invest in your team’s growth, you’ll keep recycling average talent while chasing excellence.

    Let’s Talk:

Did your company ever train you intensively?

Have you ever grown more outside work than within?

Should training be the employer’s duty, or the staff’s personal responsibility?

  • Remember that viral joke of the comedian who got wrongly credited with a huge sum of money?
The bank called him, asking him to "kindly return the money to the rightful owner."
    He replied:
“Sure! But first… come to my office and ask for my secretary.
Collect a form and fill it out. Come back in 2 weeks.
Bring your passport photo, the other person’s bank portfolio, and a signed letter from your MD.
    Then we’ll proceed — maybe.”
It was hilarious… until the banker realized — this is exactly how they treat their customers!

Red-tapism — The Hidden Killer of Productivity!

Whether in banking, civil service, or private firms, unnecessary protocols
    Waste time
    Drain energy
    Kill innovation
    Decisions crawl.
    Employees get frustrated.

When your job becomes a battle of paperwork and protocols, energy shifts from productivity to survival.

If your client or colleague needs 7 signatures and 2 referrals just to solve a basic problem… you’re not working smart.

    Dear professionals:
It’s time to scrap needless steps and embrace smarter systems.
Let’s stop punishing people with processes that don’t serve purpose.

    Let’s Talk:
What’s the most ridiculous protocol you’ve faced at work?
Have you ever pushed for change in your system?
Is your department a place of action or a waiting room?

  • MORNING TEA

    FRIDAY MAY 9, 2025.

    WHO TOLD YOU THAT?

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
    2 Corinthians 11:3, NIV
"But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ."

    TODAY'S WORD:
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were living confident and secure with God. They knew they had His blessing and favour. But one day, the enemy deceived them into eating the forbidden fruit, and immediately, they were afraid. They ran and hid. When God called out to Adam, “Where are you?” Adam said, “We’re hiding because we’re naked.” God asked, “Who told you that you were naked?”

God is asking us today, “Who told you that you’re not good enough? That you’re just average? That you can’t accomplish your dreams?” Those negative thoughts didn’t come from our God. Those lies open the door to fear, insecurity, and shame. They focus on what we’re not, on the mistakes we’ve made, on what other people have said about us. Don’t let the enemy deceive you. You are a child of the Most High God. You are not average or mediocre; you are royalty. Keep your crown on.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that You have given me a crown of glory and honour, and even the enemy does not have the power to take it from me. Thank You that I am covered by Your grace and made in Your image. I declare my confidence is in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • I was indirectly introduced to Tech on this day 7 years ago.

This was my office where I was w0rking in a real estate company as an office assistant. This happened to be my first j0b after NYSC.

I go to work every morning, but it kinda seems like I was wasting away. There was hardly anything for me to do unless when land bùyers reached out to schedule an inspection. Other times, I had to think outside the box in order to do stuff that could benefit the company.

On this particular day, I was watching Nigeria IDol on YouTube and after watching an episode, an Indian guy video started playing and when I was trying to change it back to Nigeria Idol, I heard him say something about Cloud.

The concept caught my attention, and I decided to listen to what he was saying even though it was tough to understand him due to accent. I was kinda intrigued about what he said Cloud was about. My concept of cloud is when rain wants to fall.

Well, I listened to him and also subscribed to his channel on my phone and on the office TV. I didn't have a l@ptop then, so when I get home, I will use my phone to go back to his channel to check for new updates or watch old videos.

After about 2 months of consistently watching his videos, I was able to start making sense of all he was saying. I even started researching some of his terminologies and keywords.

Mind you, I actually studied literature in the university, and nothing concerned me with Tech. However, there was this peace I felt each time I was listening to this guy talk about Cloud.

As of then, my s@lary was 65 k, and due to the fact that the company rented an apartment for me, they were deducting a part of the rent from my monthly salary. So my take home was around 27 k monthly. Nothing on earth could afford me a lapt0p then.

I had a lapt0p that I used during university, but it was already in an unusable state, and I couldn't afford to repair it. All my 3arnings were basically for feeding and taking care of my siblings. The thing is, what can 27k even do for a family girl like me who lost her father a few months before.

Fast forward to 6 months later, I reached a class mate that works with Jobberman to help me look out for new jo0s as I felt my real estate j0b wasn't challenging enough.

This guy that hardly replies Facebook chats replied to my chats that I dropped around 3 am. immediately. I was kinda shocked because I wasn't even expecting his response. I only sent him chats at the heat of my midnight thoughts, just so I don't forget reaching him later.

I told him that I am open to new opportunities, but this time, I have been interested in w0rking in an IT industry since I was l3arning a ski11 then. He told me that they were h1ring for a Microsoft Third party company that was coming into the country, and they started hiring for them last month, and this week is their last batch of hiring.

I should send my cv for him to forward to the recruitment team since he's not recruiter himself. I sent my cv for the early hours, and a call from their recruiter was what woke me up the next morning.

I was invited for an interview the next day, and for the first time in my life, I felt so small. When I got to the Jobberman Elephant building, the kinda people that I saw that came for the interview was scary.

When I decided to talk to a few, I quickly realised that I was actually very small. These guys are computer engineers, computer scientists, and technical guys with years of working experience. We were up to 300, and the few ladies among us were actually doing well in Tech already.

I had no option but to sit down and be observing. A few moments later, the oyibo team from Microsoft announced that our first round of interviews will be starting soon. We eventually started, and after every stage, they will call the people who will be moved to the next and also call those who will go home.

This is how they moved me until the final interview stage. We had 5 stages on the same day. Guess what stood me out, guys... My knowledge of Cloud Computing. The products we were going to support were Microsoft Azure Cloud, and that was exactly what I was learning since 6 months before.

It was as if God and the universe were preparing me for such an opportunity. During my last stage of interview, the 2 oyibo people who interviewed me said that I was one of their best bet. They were impressed with the way I explained the concept of Cloud.

We also had a team project as part of our interview process. They grouped us into a group of 12 members and gave us a map with a story to discuss. They positioned one of their small oyibo member to watch what we were doing. I was the loudest during the group project, and I never knew that they were taking notes of those contributing to the project. I was just talking and talking.

So, during the last stage of our interview, the 2 interviewers said something about my contribution to the group project, how I was a team player, and other bla bla bla.

They shaaa told me that I would hear from them, and this is how my unplanned upski11ing got me into Microsoft and Tech generally. God took his time to prepare me for the opportunity.

This is why I keep saying that your life is better with as many ski11s as you can get. You might not know when it will come in handy. You might not know when it will bail you out.

Having known this miracle of learning, having experienced it and having enjoyed the benefits, I am surely the right person to spread the good news. I am actually running this evangelism very well.

In 5 years' time, Digital Witch will probably be controlling 50% Nigeria Fr33lancers. Like 50% of Fr33lancers you know might have been our stúd3nts.

Cheers to our days of little beginning. I am so beautiful here✨️

I am so beautiful here✨️ 💛
