I get worried when I see people criticize the things they can't have, especially the things they wish they had. I know it is a coping mechanism, but when did humans start getting comfortable with lying to themselves?

‘I don't like iPhones.’ Have you used one before? Can you afford one?

‘I would rather use a bus from Enugu to Lagos than enter a flight.’ It's okay. We know that your salary is less than the flight ticket.

‘I don't like going out.’ Do you even have anywhere to go to?

‘I don't want to get married.’ Is this because you have not met anyone that you like, or no one wants to marry you?

Most other countries are no longer struggling to have good roads, constant electricity, and fast and reliable internet. Our setback is that we are still struggling with problems that other countries have solved many years ago.

Before you start comparing yourself with someone else on social media, remember pictures posted here don’t tell the whole story.
