U4GM With a View Guide for Arc Raiders Stella Montis Loot Runs

You don't need me to tell you Shani's "With a View" can chew up an evening, because it's not a firefight problem, it's a loot problem. After the Headwinds update pushes you into Stella Montis, you're basically gambling every run on whether the right Exodus parts even show up, and checking ARC Raiders Items doesn't change the fact that the map decides what you get. The quest reads simple on paper, but the risk climbs fast the second you start carrying something you can't afford to lose.

Hunting the Rotary Encoder

Your first roadblock is the Rotary Encoder. It has no guaranteed spawn, so treat it like a high-tier scav run, not a mission. I've seen players pull one from the Assembly side, and I've personally had better luck poking around the Business Center, but it can show up in other well-stocked rooms too. If you've cleared a bunch of containers and you're still empty-handed, don't be stubborn. Resetting the raid is often quicker than wandering deeper with a backpack full of junk. When it does drop, stash it in your secure pocket straight away, because dying with it in your inventory is the kind of mistake you only make once.

Control Room Trap People Keep Falling Into

Once the Encoder's safe, head for the Assembly Line area and look for the Control Room tucked around the workshops. Inside, you're after a yellow server switch. Flip it, and the game will consume your Rotary Encoder on the spot. Here's the catch that catches everyone: you can't just hit the switch and sprint out. There's a computer terminal right nearby, and you need to interact with it after the switch. If you skip the terminal, you'll get that awful feeling later when the quest doesn't move and you realise you've got to loot another Encoder all over again.

Ion Sputter Runs and Getting Out Alive

Then comes the Ion Sputter, which feels even stingier. It's another rare Exodus item, also random, also hiding in containers across Stella Montis. The good news is you don't need to do it in the same life as the switch step, so don't force some hero run. Go in light, hit likely loot routes, and the moment you find the Sputter, your objective changes to one thing: extraction. Avoid "one more room" thinking, don't take loud fights you don't have to, and don't chase revenge. Getting it back to Speranza is the whole point.

Turn-In and Why the Pain's Worth It

Hand the Ion Sputter to Shani and the quest finally stops holding your progress hostage. The materials are nice, sure, but the real win is the Tactical MK.2 Augment, which actually helps your build feel sharper going into the next stretch. If you're the kind of player who wants to lean into that momentum, it's also a good time to look at ARC Raiders Moded Weapon options so your loadout keeps pace with the risks Stella Montis keeps throwing at you.
