  • Names of people who are g@y continued…

While the rest of the world are having conversations about AI, Robotics and the future of energy, my people in Nigeria are occupied with a list of g@ys from gistlover blog.

So I thought I should contribute to the list. Here are interesting personalities who are also g@y:

    1. Tim Cook – CEO of Apple, one of the most influential figures in the tech industry.

    2. Ellen DeGeneres – Comedian, television host, and actress known for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
    3. Anderson Cooper – Journalist and anchor for CNN, known for his work on Anderson Cooper 360°.

    4. Laverne Cox – Actress and LGBTQ+ activist, famous for her role in Orange Is the New Black.

    5. Pete Buttigieg – U.S. Secretary of Transportation, former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and 2020 presidential candidate.

    6. Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir – Former Prime Minister of Iceland and the first openly g@y head of state.

    7. Elton John – Legendary musician and singer, known for his philanthropic work in HIV/AIDS awareness.

The difference between the above names and the names released by Gistlover is that the people listed here boldly IDENTIFIED as g@y - they don’t live in a hypocritical society.

While I am definitely Pro-Heterosexuality and do not support immoral s£xual behaviours, yet I am shocked that an entire generation of a youth populated nation is primarily occupied by gossips of who’s g@y and who’s not.

There are those who will still misunderstand this post so let me state the sole purpose of this post - I just want Nigerians to upgrade their national conversations on social media from who’s sleeping with who to who’s building what and with who. Instead of investigating someone’s s£x partner, why not use that time to study who’s their business partner. I took time to research who the Chinese partner Davido’s dad mentioned is and I found out.

Why should I care about the man’s s£xual partner when what I need to know is his business partner?

Why should I care about a g@y when I don’t know which company is getting listed next on the NSE?

The CEO of that iPhone in your hands is openly g@y…. While it doesn’t make it right but it just screams “mind your business” so you don’t Slav£ for people you consider immoral.

  • SNAIL FARMING (Heliculture)

LET ME EDUCATE US ABOUT SNAIL FARMING

Snail farming otherwise called Heliculture describes the process of raising snails for consumption. Snail is a cold blooded invertebrate belonging to the Mollusc family. It is a source of protein to man. It has been discovered that snails have over 15% crude protein. They are also reared to avoid snail extinction as forests where snails inhabit are being depicted.

    Below are points considered in snail production;

    1) Suitable pen(Soil, Vegetation and Climate)
    2) Availability of space for rearing snails
    3) Hatchery/breeding
    4) Growth and fattening
    5) Reproduction and population control
    6) In-breeding
    7) Hibernation period
    8) Construction of snailery pen ( At least 2500 capacity snail pen)
    9) Supplementary feed
    10) Feeding management regime
    11) Selecting breeding snails
    12) Production problems; diseases and pests, harvesting and marketing.

Snails are called micro livestock because they have small bodies inside a shell. They are cold blooded and nocturnal and also need a cold environment for their survival and growth. Snails feed on vegetables, fruits and roots which rasp with their radula. They could be found in forests under decayed leaves and wood debris. The entire outer body is made up of shell which is about 22 to 25 ft or the edible portion about 30 to 45% of its body.

    USES OF SNAIL
    1) Source of income for farmers
    2) Provides 15% crude protein
    3) Its liquids fight against inflammatory skin diseases, cold, cough, bronchitis, catarrh, asthma
    4) Prevention of ventricular fibrillation and reduces platelet aggregation
    5) It has a protective effect against cardiovascular diseases due to the presence of Alpha-linoleic acid.

    REASONS FOR SNAIL FARMING
    1) It requires less space and capital to start up when compared to other farm animals
    2) It has simple management practices
    3) It is not aggressive
    4) Helps in the elimination of organic waste
    5) It has ready market
    6) It can survive without food
    7) It has high fecundity

    BREEDS OF SNAIL
    1) Achatina marginata
    2) Achatina achatina
    3) Achatina zebra
    4) Achatina fulica

    FACTORS AFFECTING SNAIL FARMING
    1) Inadequate improved species
    2) Availability of formulated snail feeds
    3) Its seasonality
    4) Inadequate farm skilled personnel
    5) Its high fecundity and mortality

WATCH OUT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE ON SNAIL FARMING!!!!!!!

  • My Unexpected Phone Call with a Scammer today.

Today, I had an intriguing experience—a WhatsApp phone call with a scammer!

It started like any other call because obviously I have sent out job applications and at such I may not remember the name of each organisation or it could even be a referral.
    The conversation
Scammer: my name is Mr Emmanuel from global support outreach
Me: (with a calm voice) okay good afternoon sir
Scammer: we will be having a training this evening by 7:30pm, will you be free to join?
Me: Yes, sure send me a mail invite
Scammer: No, a code has been sent to your WhatsApp, call out the number
Me: I can't see any code, meanwhile I checked and a code had popped out.
Scammer: (tries to suggest possible numbers)
Me: Get out and leave my line( with a loud voice)
Scammer: (goes mute) and ends the call
Me: I reported him on WhatsApp and blocked the contact.
    This experience was a reminder:
    1. Stay vigilant:Scammers are becoming more sophisticated.
    2. Verify before you trust: Always double-check unsolicited calls or messages.
    3. Share your story: Educate others so they can recognize and avoid scams( obviously I had read or seen one or two similar scenarios hence I was enlightened)

Let's protect ourselves and our loved ones by spreading awareness. Have you had a similar experience? How did you handle it?

  • Dear Project Managers,

Any knowledge worth having, is worth having correctly.

There is a very popular norm that goes on in the field of project management, and this is it****

♾ People interchangeably use Agile and Scrum.

    Now here is the reality~~

Agile is a foundational philosophy and mindset. It's safe to say it's a methodology.

Scrum on the other hand is a framework that brings this philosophy to life.

Asides from Scrum, Agile methodology has other types of framework in existence.

    These include ~
    ▪︎Kanban
    ▪︎Lean and
    ▪︎Extreme Programming (XP)

Scrum gained so much popularity and that led to it being used interchangeably.

    Take Home

A NORM IS NOT ALWAYS A STANDARD ~~

I do hope you've learnt something today

Kindly share to others as no knowledge is a waste.

    Cheers...

  • I watched Brain Jotter Story as he visited Mike Ejeagha, the legend who sang "Gwo gwo gwo Ngwo," and I was somewhat teary when Mike came out to see him. The old man cried, not because of anything else, but because in 2024 he was remembered and his resurrected again.

As a content creator, here is what you should learn from Brain Jotter because I just learned a lot:

    1. When you are being accused, whether wrongly or rightly, there is no need to react or defend yourself just allow everyone to their opinion. People expected him to come out and say eh I didn't make money from the song ooo this or that. But man calmly allowed everyone and reacted on his own terms and time.

    2. There are subtle ways to address trolls online, and they will end up liking you and even be ready to die for you. I need to learn how calm Brain Jotter is amidst the whole situation.( he legit didn't call anyone names) what a guy.

    3. Everyone's opinion is valid, even if it comes with an !nsult. It's just a matter of perspective and how they view the situation. There are people who know that white is white but they just choose to see it as black. Allow them.

    4. It pays to be civil. Amidst all this brouhaha, Brain Jotter didn't attack or call anyone names for having an opinion. He even said you are right to fight for what you think is right.

    5. Out of his own benevolence, he added to the money even when he didn't make a dime from it. It takes a humble and generous soul to act that way.

    6. Anything can make you popular; just keep trying out new things. Brain Jotter was already popular, but that song made both the old and the new know him. He said, and I quote, that he came across that song on TikTok and hopped on it from the video he already had, not that it was new.

    7. If you have grown as a creator, there is a need to have a team. You alone cannot do it. Check that video, and you will see him and his team; he isn't working alone. I learnt that one.

    8. He affiliated himself with the song, resurrected it, and announced Mike Ejeagha to the world once again. Sometimes all you need is collaboration.

Collaborate you alone can not do it, You need people ooo.

Nwanne Je Gwo ngwo no yagazie today.

  • The beauty of a rebellious You!

It does take a mountain and a valley of rebellion to find your ultimate self and live in it.

The Ultimate Rebellion of Being Yourself means breaking free daily from the need to please others. It's a powerful thing. It's like a weight lifted off your shoulders. You can finally be yourself, without apology.

When we stop trying to impress everyone, we will find our own voice. We will speak our truth, even if it's hard and uncommon. We will stand up for what's right, even if it's unpopular.

Being yourself doesn't mean you're perfect. It means you're authentic. You're willing to take off the mask and show up as you are, imperfections and all.

It means you're brave enough to say, "I don't know" when you're unsure. To say, "I'm sorry" when you've messed up. To say, "I need help" when you're struggling.

Don't let the fear of what others think hold you back. You are stronger than that. You are braver than that. With the dawn of each day, consciously choose to be you, even when it's hard. Remember, we do hard things. Always choose to speak up, even when it's risky. You are worth it.

Our authenticity is our gift to share with the world; don't hoard it! Embrace your individuality and live the life that's truly yours.
