  • “Must have 3–5 years’ experience.”

“We need someone who’s trained and ready to hit the ground running.”

Great. But let’s flip the question:

    Did your company train you?

When was the last time your organization sent you for a real workshop, a growth-driven seminar, or an upskilling course?

Experience is not just found — it’s built.

And companies that build their people, build their future.

    Dear employers:

If you don’t invest in your team’s growth, you’ll keep recycling average talent while chasing excellence.

    Let’s Talk:

Did your company ever train you intensively?

Have you ever grown more outside work than within?

Should training be the employer’s duty, or the staff’s personal responsibility?

  • "The Kindness We Forget at Work."

When we talk about “professionalism,” we often focus on:

    *Meeting deadlines.

    *Delivering results.

    *Maintaining standards.

But sometimes, simple kindness gets lost in the hustle.

A smile. A "thank you." A word of encouragement.

These small acts can change someone's whole week.

Kindness is not extra — it’s essential.

In competitive, stressful environments, kindness is not weakness — it’s strength in action.

    Let’s Discuss:

-Have you ever been deeply impacted by a small act of kindness at work?

-What small kind gesture can YOU offer a colleague this week?

    - Is kindness part of your company's culture — or just an afterthought?

Let’s inspire a wave of workplace kindness!

  • One of my team members consistently misses deadlines, slowing down the whole department. However, this employee is very respectful and kind and has been with the company for years.

When it comes to employment evaluation ..........

QUESTION: As a manager, what would you do?

As a team member, how would you feel?

Drop your honest thoughts in the comments — there’s no wrong answer.

Let’s learn from each other and uncover the best approaches to difficult workplace moments.

  • Dear Workaholics, This One’s for you!

The weekend is approaching, but guess what? Your body doesn’t have a replaceable version like your job does!

If you drop today due to stress, the company won’t post a “vacancy for a replacement liver or kidney”—just a new job listing. So, before you burn out, do yourself a favor:

Sleep like your job depends on it (because your health does!).

    Rest without guilt—emails can wait.

Unwind and breathe—your laptop will still be there on Monday.

Get a total body check-up—better safe than sorry!

Your life is priceless. Health is wealth! Take care.

  • Why Young Professionals Are Ready to Quit Jobs — And What Great Leaders Can Do About It

Dear leaders, here’s a reality check: 65% of young professionals are considering quitting their jobs in search of better pay, belonging, and growth opportunities. With inflation rising and social media flaunting the “good life,” they’re chasing financial stability and fulfillment.

But here’s the truth—your younger employees aren’t lazy or entitled. They’re simply asking for what great leaders should provide: motivation, recognition, and opportunities to grow. If you want to retain and inspire them, it’s time to elevate your leadership game.

    Why Motivating Younger Workers Matters

For Millennials and Gen Z, work is more than a paycheck—it’s tied to their values and identity. They want to feel seen, supported, and included. When they don’t, they’ll leave. Motivated employees bring creativity and energy, but they’ll only thrive in a culture that invests in their growth.

    How to Inspire Younger Workers

    1. Recognize Their Efforts: Publicly celebrate their contributions. A simple “great job” can go a long way.

    2. Provide Growth Opportunities: Show clear career paths through promotions, upskilling, and mentorship.

    3. Foster Belonging: Celebrate diversity, encourage collaboration, and listen to their ideas.

    4. Support Mental Health: Offer flexibility, mental health resources, and work-life harmony.

    5. Align Work with Purpose: Help them see how their efforts impact the company and society.

    6. Be an Authentic Leader: Lead by example with transparency and trustworthiness.

In conclusion, Lead to Inspire. As we enter a new year, remember this: “Leadership is not about being in charge. It’s about taking care of those in your charge.” (Simon Sinek). Younger workers want to be part of organizations that value them as people, not just as employees. They want leaders who inspire them, invest in their growth, and help them find fulfillment in their work.

How will you inspire them to do their best work? Share your thoughts below!

  • LinkedIn Family day 3 is here
Navigating your way through ambiguity or challenges
    The Power of Agile Methodologies

Agile methodologies are well-suited for handling ambiguity.

Agile methodology is a project management approach that emphasizes flexibility, collaboration, and customer satisfaction. Unlike traditional methods, Agile breaks down projects into smaller, iterative cycles called sprints. This allows teams to adapt to changes quickly and deliver value incrementally.

Key strategy: Iterative Approach/ decision making process
✅️ Embrace iterative approaches to adapt to changing requirements.
    ✅️ Prioritize flexibility and responsiveness.

  • I was indirectly introduced to Tech on this day 7 years ago.

This was my office where I was w0rking in a real estate company as an office assistant. This happened to be my first j0b after NYSC.

I go to work every morning, but it kinda seems like I was wasting away. There was hardly anything for me to do unless when land bùyers reached out to schedule an inspection. Other times, I had to think outside the box in order to do stuff that could benefit the company.

On this particular day, I was watching Nigeria IDol on YouTube and after watching an episode, an Indian guy video started playing and when I was trying to change it back to Nigeria Idol, I heard him say something about Cloud.

The concept caught my attention, and I decided to listen to what he was saying even though it was tough to understand him due to accent. I was kinda intrigued about what he said Cloud was about. My concept of cloud is when rain wants to fall.

Well, I listened to him and also subscribed to his channel on my phone and on the office TV. I didn't have a l@ptop then, so when I get home, I will use my phone to go back to his channel to check for new updates or watch old videos.

After about 2 months of consistently watching his videos, I was able to start making sense of all he was saying. I even started researching some of his terminologies and keywords.

Mind you, I actually studied literature in the university, and nothing concerned me with Tech. However, there was this peace I felt each time I was listening to this guy talk about Cloud.

As of then, my s@lary was 65 k, and due to the fact that the company rented an apartment for me, they were deducting a part of the rent from my monthly salary. So my take home was around 27 k monthly. Nothing on earth could afford me a lapt0p then.

I had a lapt0p that I used during university, but it was already in an unusable state, and I couldn't afford to repair it. All my 3arnings were basically for feeding and taking care of my siblings. The thing is, what can 27k even do for a family girl like me who lost her father a few months before.

Fast forward to 6 months later, I reached a class mate that works with Jobberman to help me look out for new jo0s as I felt my real estate j0b wasn't challenging enough.

This guy that hardly replies Facebook chats replied to my chats that I dropped around 3 am. immediately. I was kinda shocked because I wasn't even expecting his response. I only sent him chats at the heat of my midnight thoughts, just so I don't forget reaching him later.

I told him that I am open to new opportunities, but this time, I have been interested in w0rking in an IT industry since I was l3arning a ski11 then. He told me that they were h1ring for a Microsoft Third party company that was coming into the country, and they started hiring for them last month, and this week is their last batch of hiring.

I should send my cv for him to forward to the recruitment team since he's not recruiter himself. I sent my cv for the early hours, and a call from their recruiter was what woke me up the next morning.

I was invited for an interview the next day, and for the first time in my life, I felt so small. When I got to the Jobberman Elephant building, the kinda people that I saw that came for the interview was scary.

When I decided to talk to a few, I quickly realised that I was actually very small. These guys are computer engineers, computer scientists, and technical guys with years of working experience. We were up to 300, and the few ladies among us were actually doing well in Tech already.

I had no option but to sit down and be observing. A few moments later, the oyibo team from Microsoft announced that our first round of interviews will be starting soon. We eventually started, and after every stage, they will call the people who will be moved to the next and also call those who will go home.

This is how they moved me until the final interview stage. We had 5 stages on the same day. Guess what stood me out, guys... My knowledge of Cloud Computing. The products we were going to support were Microsoft Azure Cloud, and that was exactly what I was learning since 6 months before.

It was as if God and the universe were preparing me for such an opportunity. During my last stage of interview, the 2 oyibo people who interviewed me said that I was one of their best bet. They were impressed with the way I explained the concept of Cloud.

We also had a team project as part of our interview process. They grouped us into a group of 12 members and gave us a map with a story to discuss. They positioned one of their small oyibo member to watch what we were doing. I was the loudest during the group project, and I never knew that they were taking notes of those contributing to the project. I was just talking and talking.

So, during the last stage of our interview, the 2 interviewers said something about my contribution to the group project, how I was a team player, and other bla bla bla.

They shaaa told me that I would hear from them, and this is how my unplanned upski11ing got me into Microsoft and Tech generally. God took his time to prepare me for the opportunity.

This is why I keep saying that your life is better with as many ski11s as you can get. You might not know when it will come in handy. You might not know when it will bail you out.

Having known this miracle of learning, having experienced it and having enjoyed the benefits, I am surely the right person to spread the good news. I am actually running this evangelism very well.

In 5 years' time, Digital Witch will probably be controlling 50% Nigeria Fr33lancers. Like 50% of Fr33lancers you know might have been our stúd3nts.

Cheers to our days of little beginning. I am so beautiful here✨️
