• MORNING TEA

    MONDAY SEPTEMBER 8, 2025.

    RELATIONSHIPS.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Revelation 3:7, NIV-
“These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”

    TODAY’S WORD:
If you don’t understand that God has necessary endings of some relationships, you’ll get upset when they happen. “Why did her friendship fade? Why did he walk away?” God knows what He’s doing. It’s not because you did something wrong or you’ve lost His favor. It’s because a new door is about to open. Without that ending, you wouldn’t discover new friendships and fulfillment greater than you’ve imagined. You wouldn’t meet the divine connection He has for you, somebody better than you ever dreamed. The right attitude is: “God, I trust You. I don’t like what happened, but You wouldn’t have allowed this relationship to cease unless you had better relationships coming.” When God closes a door, you can’t open it. If someone wants to leave, you have to accept that their part in your story is over. Some people are like scaffolding. They come into your life for a season, perhaps to help you get to a certain point. But if they stayed, they would limit your growth. That scaffolding has to come off, so you can rise higher.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that You know best when it comes to the people who should be a part of my life. Thank You that You are the doorkeeper and that You’ll lead me to the best relationships. Help me to see that even though the end of a relationship may not feel good, You have great people ahead. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • It's laughable how some people think networking ends after exchanging contacts. When actually, that’s where real networking starts.

You go to events, meet smart people, collect cards, and then… nothing.
No follow-up. No real connection. Just ghosting and WhatsApp status viewing.

If you're serious about building profitable business relationships, read this will save you years of missed opportunities.

The fact is that relationships are built in the follow-up.
    Opportunities grow in consistency.
And visibility without value makes you forgettable.

The most successful people nurture relationships before they ever need anything. They don’t just show up when you’re “blowing.”

If you want better results from your network? Start like this:
After a meeting, send a message within 24 hours.
Share a resource that helps them.
Check in every few weeks without asking for a favor.

Your network is not your net worth unless you're actively building it.

    Actionable tip:
Choose one person you met recently and send them a thoughtful follow-up today. No pitch. Just care and value.

P.S. Need content marketing that helps you attract real opportunities and quality clients? Let's talk, send me a message today!

  • You’re not a servant striving for approval—you’re a child already deeply loved.
The joy isn’t in how much you do, but in how closely you walk with Him.
Let your heart whisper daily: “Wait for me, Dad.”
Because what your Father truly wants... is you.

  • “Must have 3–5 years’ experience.”

“We need someone who’s trained and ready to hit the ground running.”

Great. But let’s flip the question:

    Did your company train you?

When was the last time your organization sent you for a real workshop, a growth-driven seminar, or an upskilling course?

Experience is not just found — it’s built.

And companies that build their people, build their future.

    Dear employers:

If you don’t invest in your team’s growth, you’ll keep recycling average talent while chasing excellence.

    Let’s Talk:

Did your company ever train you intensively?

Have you ever grown more outside work than within?

Should training be the employer’s duty, or the staff’s personal responsibility?

  • When hard work doesn’t speak, connections do.

That’s what favoritism and nepotism do in the workplace:

They silence merit, breed quiet resentment, and reward the “well-connected” over the well-qualified.

    Promotions become predictable.

    Innovation slows down.

Morale? It burns out — fast.

If someone must belong to a clique to belong in the system, you’ve already lost your best people.

Whether it’s a family name, a favourite face, or a strategic alliance — once growth is dictated by who you know, professionalism becomes politics.

    Let’s Talk:

Have you ever lost an opportunity to favouritism?

Should leadership be held accountable for nepotism?

    Can favouritism ever be “harmless”?

  • Let’s be honest — not everyone is ready for feedback.

And not everyone knows how to give it without bruising egos or killing morale.

Some leaders give feedback like they're throwing punches.

Some employees receive feedback like they’re under personal attack.

    But here’s the thing:

Feedback is not war. It’s a mirror.

    It’s supposed to

    -correct, not condemn.

    -Build, not break.

    -Uplift, not uproot.

    Let’s Talk:

Have you ever received feedback that felt more like an insult?

What’s the best or worst feedback you’ve ever received?

How do we normalize feedback without causing fear or resentment at work?

It’s time we create cultures where truth is shared with tact — and growth doesn’t hurt like a slap.

  • “Don’t Let a Paycheck Silence Your Purpose.”
Yes, your job is paying the bills.
Yes, you’re grateful to be employed.
But no — that shouldn’t silence your voice, value, or vision.

You were not hired to be a shadow. You were hired to shine.

If you’re scared to speak, scared to grow, or scared to be seen…
Ask yourself: “Is this still the place for me?”

Your salary is not a bribe to forget your potential.
Your job should build your purpose — not bury it.

    Question to spark engagement:
What’s one thing you’ve had to boldly say or do at work to protect your self-worth?

  • One of my team members consistently misses deadlines, slowing down the whole department. However, this employee is very respectful and kind and has been with the company for years.

When it comes to employment evaluation ..........

QUESTION: As a manager, what would you do?

As a team member, how would you feel?

Drop your honest thoughts in the comments — there’s no wrong answer.

Let’s learn from each other and uncover the best approaches to difficult workplace moments.

  • The Silent Resignation: Are Your Employees Working or Just Waiting?

Not every resignation comes with a letter—some employees check out mentally long before they walk out physically.

When I got a new job years back—I was so excited! But that enthusiasm *vanished* within my first week. Why? I was suddenly told I had to work Saturdays and Sundays without extra pay

How do you dubiously leave out such a clause **all through recruitment**, let someone resign from their previous job, only to drop the bomb later? It felt like a **trap**, and it stole the joy of my new job. I endured, stayed engaged, but my mental perception changed. The fulfillment of being employed faded—until I found another job.

Employers, how do you ensure transparency to avoid disengagement?
Employees, what has ever made you mentally check out of a job?

    Today's Debate:
What’s the real cause of silent resignations—bad leadership, lack of growth, poor pay, or something else? Let’s discuss it!
