    IN THE POTTERS HANDS.

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
    Isaiah 45:9, NLT -
    "What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, 'Stop, you're doing it wrong!'"

    TODAY'S WORD:
    The Scripture says that God is the potter and we are the clay. The potter takes a lump of clay and spins it on his wheel. The clay could say, "I'm tired of going in circles. Let me off this wheel." The clay doesn't realize that while it's spinning, the potter is molding it. It's rising up from a lump of clay into a beautiful vase. After it has gone through the process, it would tell you, "I didn't like the spinning, but without it I wouldn't be what I am."

    You may feel like you're spinning today. You're doing the same thing over and over and don't see much progress. But when it feels like you're going in circles, something is happening that you can't see. You're coming up higher. God is molding your character. It may seem routine, but when you're faithful where you are, when you have a song of praise when you could be complaining, you're rising higher. Trust Him when you're spinning. Trust Him when you're in the routine.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
    Father, thank You that my life is in Your hands, and You are shaping my life like a potter not just my dreams and goals, but my character. Thank You that You are working in the routine to mold my life into Your image. I trust You whether I’m seeing progress or not. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    It's Weekend already! This week went by pretty fast.

    Let's have an honest conversation about something we've all felt but rarely discuss openly. You know that feeling when you catch up with old friends?

    That subtle ache in your chest when you see your peers landing dream jobs, buying homes, or reaching milestones you're still working towards?

    I've been there. We all have. That moment when you wonder, "Am I falling behind?"

    But here's the truth I've learned along my journey:
    𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒚𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇.

    Think about it for a moment. When you feel that rush to "catch up," ask yourself: Catch up to what? To whom?

    Every person you see as "ahead" is running their own unique race, with different:
    -Starting points
    -Challenges
    -Resources
    -Life circumstances
    -Personal definitions of success

    Here’s the truth: the real competition isn’t out there—it's you vs. you.
    Every single day, the version of yourself from yesterday is your only rival.

    𝘚𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦’𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺.

    Some people are late bloomers, but that doesn’t make their growth any less valuable. It's about the lessons, the persistence, and the courage to not back down.

    This is just a "myth"

    Story points are often shrouded in myths and misconceptions.

    A few of which include

    Believing they measure time directly

    Assuming they are always precise

    Thinking they can be compared across teams

    Having the assumption that they are only used for software development

    Presuming they are a direct measure of progress


    What is a Story Point....

    This is a unit of measure used in Agile project management to estimate the relative effort required to fully implement a user story or a product backlog item

    It is a relative measure of complexity, efforts, and size of a task.

    In simpler terms, story points are used to estimate the difficulty, risk and complexity of a task or user story.

    The most common scale used to estimate story points is....

    The *FIBONACCI SEQUENCE*

    Named after the Italian mathematician - "Leonardo Fibonacci" in the 13th century, the Fibonacci Sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is a sum of the 2 preceeding numbers.

    Just like

    0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, and so on...

    Where tasks with the lesser numbers are considered simple tasks while those with the higher numbers are considered complex tasks.

    ♾ Remember,

    Story points are relative and team specific so they shouldn't be compared across teams or used as direct measure of individual performance.

    Also, in as much as story points are commonly used, they are "not mandatory".

    Other methods like T-Shirt sizing or simply tracking the completed stories without assigning points can still be applied.
