• Why Young Professionals Are Ready to Quit Jobs — And What Great Leaders Can Do About It

Dear leaders, here’s a reality check: 65% of young professionals are considering quitting their jobs in search of better pay, belonging, and growth opportunities. With inflation rising and social media flaunting the “good life,” they’re chasing financial stability and fulfillment.

But here’s the truth—your younger employees aren’t lazy or entitled. They’re simply asking for what great leaders should provide: motivation, recognition, and opportunities to grow. If you want to retain and inspire them, it’s time to elevate your leadership game.

    Why Motivating Younger Workers Matters

For Millennials and Gen Z, work is more than a paycheck—it’s tied to their values and identity. They want to feel seen, supported, and included. When they don’t, they’ll leave. Motivated employees bring creativity and energy, but they’ll only thrive in a culture that invests in their growth.

    How to Inspire Younger Workers

    1. Recognize Their Efforts: Publicly celebrate their contributions. A simple “great job” can go a long way.

    2. Provide Growth Opportunities: Show clear career paths through promotions, upskilling, and mentorship.

    3. Foster Belonging: Celebrate diversity, encourage collaboration, and listen to their ideas.

    4. Support Mental Health: Offer flexibility, mental health resources, and work-life harmony.

    5. Align Work with Purpose: Help them see how their efforts impact the company and society.

    6. Be an Authentic Leader: Lead by example with transparency and trustworthiness.

In conclusion, Lead to Inspire. As we enter a new year, remember this: “Leadership is not about being in charge. It’s about taking care of those in your charge.” (Simon Sinek). Younger workers want to be part of organizations that value them as people, not just as employees. They want leaders who inspire them, invest in their growth, and help them find fulfillment in their work.

How will you inspire them to do their best work? Share your thoughts below!

  • 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴! 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

It's Weekend already! This week went by pretty fast.

Let's have an honest conversation about something we've all felt but rarely discuss openly. You know that feeling when you catch up with old friends?

That subtle ache in your chest when you see your peers landing dream jobs, buying homes, or reaching milestones you're still working towards?

I've been there. We all have. That moment when you wonder, "Am I falling behind?"

But here's the truth I've learned along my journey:
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒚𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇.

Think about it for a moment. When you feel that rush to "catch up," ask yourself: Catch up to what? To whom?

Every person you see as "ahead" is running their own unique race, with different:
    -Starting points
    -Challenges
    -Resources
    -Life circumstances
    -Personal definitions of success

Here’s the truth: the real competition isn’t out there—it's you vs. you.
Every single day, the version of yourself from yesterday is your only rival.

𝘚𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦’𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺.

Some people are late bloomers, but that doesn’t make their growth any less valuable. It's about the lessons, the persistence, and the courage to not back down.

𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 3 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆'𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 30, 𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒓, 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏 𝒖𝒑 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚.

Remember: You're not behind. You're not early. You're right on time for YOUR journey.

As we head into the weekend, this is another chance to strategize, reflect, and do a little bit more.

Keep challenging yesterday’s version of you, and never forget that progress is progress, no matter the pace.

I'd love to hear from you: What's one way you've grown compared to your past self? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

    Happy Weekend!!!

  • I had to rush to the bank yesterday for a simple transaction, all in the middle of a time-sensitive project. Why? Because the bank staff who could’ve easily resolved it over the phone wasn’t allowed to answer calls during work hours – from a well-known Nigerian bank, no less! It’s like their phones are on a strict 9-to-5 nap!

Having to physically walk into the bank for something that could’ve been handled in minutes? Frustrating doesn’t even begin to cover it. I don’t think I’d survive in such a job. What about you? Could you manage a workday without your phone?

  • One of Digital Witch students wrote this and I was like, omo, Ekwutosi have come a long way. God is realy faithful 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

This evening, July 1st, I want to celebrate a good friend.
2018, one time like that, I was craving for Okpa. This craving was so much that I went all the way to Jibowu Yaba in Lagos in search for early morning Okpa. I found one tho but stopped buying when my mother told me that most of them use semovita in mixing the Okpa. That was the end oh.

Months later Ekwutosinam Ada Nsukka advertised her Enugu Okpa. I patronized her and went to prepare it myself. Unfortunately, my Okpa and Nigerian stone were admins of same WhatsAp group. Abeg I gave up.
Ekwy tried teaching me via WhatsApp and encouraging me to try again until I get it. I respected her and tried again but guys, Okpa making is not just my calling.

Anyway, that Okpa transaction eventually made us friends.

Ekwy would share so many things with me from personal to career to life to anything! We were just two confused ladies rooting for each other. At some point we would even laugh at our struggles.

Well, one day, she told me about getting certifications and going into tech full time. I would even tease her that she works in the cloud. I over supported her by encouraging her to go ahead. This babe studied online and kept bagging different certifications. She would come to Facebook and make noise about her studies and encouraging us to learn but yea so many people didn’t believe in her.

She continued to bag more certifications and got several remote jobs and started earning in dollars. All of a sudden Ekwy became a Bureau D change cos she is always packing dollars. One day she decided to teach those who were interested and today she has built a community of tech gurus. Over 7,000 students in her community called Digital Witch Support Team and so many of them are busy cashing out in dollars from their home.

Ekwy came to show me her father’s house which she built single handedly in the East.

Ekwy would share her wins with me.

One day she came to share the one that made me cry. I cried because she shared her struggles with me so I know why I cried. What did she share? Her house! Ekwy bought her own house in this Lagos and everything gotten from tech!

She asked me to keep it to myself and I am a professional in that side. I kept quiet until she broke the news herself.

Ekwy returned again and showed me her car. I kuku asked her to come and kill me and use for ritual since she wants to use good news and strangulate me.

    Why am I sharing this?

Her journey is what I am aware of! She started life from the barest minimum. She started confused. Infact this Digital wit|ch was born as a joke and today, after 4yrs of knowing this amazing lady, she has indeed made us proud.

You might be confused. You might be feeling stagnant. You might also feel like you’re under achieving. You might even feel you’re use less. My dearest friend, I have come to tell you that someone also started confused. Someone started without looking back. Someone was in that situation you’re in now but she chose to rise above it and define her destiny by herself.

And today, I want to encourage you to also give tech a try. Give yourself one year or even two years and watch your progress.

Tech is the new oil well in Nigeria. So many remote jobs out there. So many foreign coys in dire need of staff but they can’t find and you’re there praying for a job.

I have attached her achievements to this post so that you can see for yourself that Tech will give you what your sugar daddy and sugar mummy can never give you.
If you want to learn from her and get a job please chat her up or join her community cos she’s having her class this July.

I also attached our first chat so you’d not say I am lying.

I call her Ekwy Dimple cos she’s got very nice dimples.

Edit; Those interested, kindly chat her on WhatsApp 09030707593

  • I lifted this post from Digital witch’s page and I learnt a lot.
There’s no better way to start a new week rather than watching this beautiful video.

I made this post on Fb and I feel that my LinkedIn friends might learn 1 or 2 from the post.

She works in Tech Sales, remember all the beautiful things I have been saying about tech sales. There's money in Tech as long as you are willing to do an amazing job.

Sweetest part, she's not even a graduate yet. When I tell you guys that many jobs don't really care about your qualifications but your ability to show results, I know some of you doubt me.

I have worked in more than 7 international companies and I will tell you for free that 80% of those I have worked with are either university students or dropout. Many in school are part time students. Funnily enough, their educational background has nothing to do with their experience and expertise.

At age 20, she's already making above 100k USD monthly. Straight out of secondary school and babe started shooting her shots at companies she wanted to work with and finally got one and worked her way up.

Her days are full of cold calling, and she's not put down by prospect NOs or rejections. Getting a No as a sales person is part of the deal and that's exactly what I teach Digital Witch students.

Imagine at her young age, babe is already enjoying life and budgeting 10k dollars for vacation. E come be like I have watched this her video before budgeting for my vacation too.

Getting into Tech Sales is the easiest if you enjoy making money for yourself. To convince a company to hire you and allow you sell their products is very easy. Every company want to make sales and if you prove that you can sell even without them having an opening, they would be happy to have you join their team.

Registration is currently ongoing for our next session and Tech Sales is part of what you will be Learning. Ask Sandra Sparkle Ajibo how Sales jobs dey rush her now. Na my student she be.
