    FRIDAY JANUARY 24, 2025.

    WHO ’s IN YOUR EAR?

    PRAYER SCRIPTURE:
    Proverbs 13:20 -
Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.

    TODAY’S WORD:
We all have people who are influencing us, people who are in our ear. We’re listening to their counsel, following their suggestions, trusting what they say. The question is: Are they the right people? You shouldn’t take advice from everyone or be swayed by every opinion. You need to look at their track record. Have they made good decisions? Do they honour God? Do they have your best interests at heart? You have to be careful who’s in your ear. If you have the wrong voices, you’re going to make the wrong choices. If you hang around, friends who compromise or coworkers who gossip, their example, their advice, and how they’re influencing you will keep you from your potential. Be selective. Some people will tell you how to run your life, but they can’t even run their own life. They’re giving you relationship advice, but they’ve been through six breakups. They’ll tell you how to invest and spend your money, but they can’t pay their own bills. Before you take that advice, consider the source. Are they a person of integrity and excellence?

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for the people in my life who inspire me, challenge me, and make me better. Help me to be wise about who I listen to and the counsel and opinions I receive. Help me to distance myself from anyone whose influence will keep me from my potential. I want to walk with the right people. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

  • AFTERNOON TEA

    SATURDAY JANUARY 25, 2025.

    THE SUNDAY MORNING BOX.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Psalm 63:1-
You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

    TODAY’S WORD -
David is thought to have written Psalm 63 in the isolation of the wilderness during the difficult years when King Saul was trying to kill him. He used that time to seek God, to draw close to God with his whole being. One thing about being isolated is that not having a lot of people to give your attention to, you can turn your attention toward your Heavenly Father. It’s an opportunity to learn to talk to Him and get to know Him. It’s a time to develop a deeper relationship where He’s not just a Sunday morning God, but all through the day, in your thoughts, you talk to God as you’d talk to a friend. God will be as involved in your life as much as you want Him to be. If you keep Him in a Sunday morning box, He’ll stay there. But He wants to be so much more than that. Sometimes, with all the busyness of life, with all the people and the activities, we don’t make time for God. That’s a mistake. Make sure you keep Him first place.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that I can seek You with my whole heart, knowing that I will surely find You. Thank You that I can live my life passionately, with a desire to go deeper with You. I declare that You are far more to me than a Sunday morning God. You are my God every moment of the day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • AFTERNOON TEA

    MONDAY JANUARY 27, 2025.

THE GREATNESS WILL COME OUT -

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Nehemiah 4:14, NIV-
I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”

    TODAY’S WORD:
Nehemiah was the cupbearer to the king of Persia before he took up the cause of rebuilding the broken down walls of Jerusalem. He didn’t have wealth, experience, or resources, and when he got to Jerusalem, he faced all kinds of opposition. It was one thing after another. But when you’re cause-driven, when you have a mission, and you stay focused on it, the greatness God put on you is going to come out as it did in Nehemiah. Rather than take years to finish rebuilding the walls, he inspired the people to do it in just fifty-two days.

You can’t make sacrifices to help those around you without God helping you. You’re going to see favour that you’ve never seen. You’re going to come out of ordinary into the uncommon, into resources, influence, and opportunity like you’ve never imagined. You have to find your cause. Live for something bigger than yourself. The greatness in you will come out when you help others, when you build their dreams, when you support advancing the kingdom.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for the plans and purposes that You have for me. Thank You that I can be a part of great causes, both small and big, and see Your favour beyond what I’ve imagined. I believe that the greatness You’ve put in me is going to come out. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • EVENING TEA

    SATURDAY FEBRUARY 1, 2025.

    HAPPY NEW MONTH.

    WINDOWS OF GRACE.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Numbers 14:40–42, NLT
“Let’s go,” they said. “We realize that we have sinned, but now we are ready to enter the land the LORD has promised us.” But Moses said, “Why are you now disobeying the LORD’s orders to return to the wilderness? It won’t work. Do not go up into the land now. You will only be crushed by your enemies.”

    TODAY’S WORD:
God had given the Israelites an incredible window of grace to go into the Promised Land, the power to overcome and the strength to defeat the opposition. He promised them victory, but they refused when they saw the giants and fortified cities and turned back into the wilderness. They didn’t realize that window of grace had closed and that if they tried to do it on their own, they would be crushed. This is why it’s so important to not put off what you know God is telling you to do. God won’t give you the opportunity and not give you the grace to do it. When you feel that urging, that knowing, whether it’s to break a bad habit or step into something that feels over your head, if you keep delaying, the window is eventually going to close. That moment is not going to be there forever. You may feel afraid. Your mind may tell you all the reasons it’s not going to work out. Don’t do like the Israelites. Put your shoulders back, hold your head up high, and step into it.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that in the routine of my ordinary days, You open up windows of grace that can change everything. Thank You that You’re orchestrating moments when You empower me to come up higher. I declare that I will step into it and receive the promise. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • The Silent Resignation: Are Your Employees Working or Just Waiting?

Not every resignation comes with a letter—some employees check out mentally long before they walk out physically.

When I got a new job years back—I was so excited! But that enthusiasm *vanished* within my first week. Why? I was suddenly told I had to work Saturdays and Sundays without extra pay

How do you dubiously leave out such a clause **all through recruitment**, let someone resign from their previous job, only to drop the bomb later? It felt like a **trap**, and it stole the joy of my new job. I endured, stayed engaged, but my mental perception changed. The fulfillment of being employed faded—until I found another job.

Employers, how do you ensure transparency to avoid disengagement?
Employees, what has ever made you mentally check out of a job?

    Today's Debate:
What’s the real cause of silent resignations—bad leadership, lack of growth, poor pay, or something else? Let’s discuss it!

  • MORNING TEA

    MONDAY FEBRUARY 10, 2025.

    ROOTED DEEP.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Colossians 2:7, NLT-
Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

    TODAY’S WORD:
Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery in Egypt, where his master’s wife falsely accused him of a crime and had him thrown into prison for thirteen years. He could have gotten bitter, but he realized that God was going to use it to increase him. Joseph kept growing, getting stronger, his roots going down deeper in faith. What seemed like wasted years was preparing him for the fullness of his destiny. Joseph went from the pit to the prison and all the way to the palace. Perhaps you’ve had some bad breaks, you’re dealing with a sickness, or a dream died. But what may feel like a pit is not the end of your story, and the prison is not your final chapter. Your destiny is the palace. God destined you to live a victorious life. If you stay in faith and keep doing the right thing, your time will come to be promoted, to be blessed, to be vindicated, and all the forces of darkness can not stop you. God has the final say. He will get you to where you’re supposed to be.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that I can let my roots go deeper in my faith and build my life on Jesus. Thank You for Your overcoming love and that You’re making me a victor and not a victim of circumstances. I’m going to stay in peace knowing that no obstacle that stands in my way can stop Your plan. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • AFTERNOON TEA

    TUESDAY FEBRUARY 11, 2025.

    DON'T LET THE POISON IN.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Job 8:22, NKJV-
Those who hate you will be clothed with shame.

    TODAY’S WORD:
It’s easy to get upset and try to set the record straight when someone is talking behind your back, trying to make you look bad, spreading rumours on social media. Some may be saying hurtful, critical things to try to make you feel small, unattractive, and not good enough. Don’t let the negative chatter get inside you. There will always be people who are jealous, envious, bullies, and haters. Not everyone is going to like you or be for you. Some will jump on every fault and treat you badly. Don’t let that poison in. Let it go. If you keep thinking about it, reliving the hurt, dwelling on what they said, it’s going to contaminate your life. You don’t have to defend yourself. God is your vindicator. Keep Him on the throne of your heart, and He will take care of those who try to bring you down. Just run your race and stay focused on your goals. Keep doing the right thing, keep honouring God, stay in peace, and He will protect your reputation and take care of your enemies.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that I can shut the door on the negative that comes against me and keep what You have promised and said about me close to my heart. Thank You that You are my vindicator, and none of these things need to move me. I believe that I will rise above the negatives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
