    WEDNESDAY AUGUST 20, 2025.

    STRENGTH THROUGH CONNECTION.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Psalm 92:13, NKJV-
Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

    TODAY’S WORD:
California’s magnificent redwood trees can reach heights of 350 feet and live for 2,000 years. They’re incredibly resilient, withstanding strong winds, storms, and pests that take other trees down. What’s interesting is that their roots are only six to twelve feet deep. The only way the shallow roots can hold up these massive trees is that the roots spread out 100 feet and intertwine with other redwoods’ roots. Against the storms, the whole redwood forest is linked together and stands strong. Storms may be blowing against you today in your health, your finances, a relationship, trying to push you down, telling you it’s never going to work out, that you have too many obstacles. When you’re planted in a community of faith, your faith gets connected with others’ faith. Before long, you have a support system that cannot be shaken. When the storms come, what would have normally blown you over if you were alone can’t move you. You have others who steady you, encourage you, and uphold you. When we’re all connected, together we can’t be defeated. Together we’re powerful.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for the strength and support system I have when I’m connected to others. Thank You that I can be planted in Your house and that my faith can be joined to others’ faith. Help me to get plugged in and see faith grow and become powerful. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    THURSDAY AUGUST 21, 2025.

    IT'S IN TRANSIT.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Isaiah 65:24, NLT
“I will answer them before they even call to me.”

    TODAY’S WORD:
Don’t ever put God in a box. Quit worrying because you don’t see any way that something can happen. Perhaps you don’t have the finances, the medical report is not good, or you don’t know the right people to help you. As far as you can see, there’s no chance. God knew what you’d need long before you had the need. He has ways to make it happen that you’ve never thought of, and He knows how to get it to you. He has answers on the way before you have asked. If you could see all the things that are already in transit for you right now, you wouldn’t worry. You wouldn’t live wondering if it’s going to happen, frustrated because you didn’t get what you were hoping for. When it’s your set time on God’s timetable, it’s coming to you. Quit worrying. Get up every morning with the expectancy that it’s in transit. God may not bring you what you thought or in the way you thought, but what He has will be bigger, better, and more rewarding than you ever imagined.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that before I even ask You for my needs and desires, You’ve already lined them up and have them headed my way. Thank You for the people, the favour, and the promotion You’ve ordained to come across my path. I believe that even now answers to my prayers are on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    SUNDAY AUGUST 24, 2025.

    SURROUNDED.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Daniel 3:25, NKJV-
“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

    TODAY’S WORD:
In Daniel 3, three Hebrew teenagers were thrown into the fiery furnace because they wouldn’t bow to King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden idol. Surrounded by intense fire, they should have died instantly. But the God who created fire and controls the universe, the fourth man, had the final say. He was right there in the fire with them, surrounding them with His protection. You may feel like you’re in the fire today. Things have come against you. What’s surrounding you may look powerful, strong, insurmountable. The good news is, our God is all-powerful. That sickness may look like the end, but when God says “live,” you’ll live. That addiction may seem permanent, and thoughts tell you that you’re never going to break it. But God is saying, “You’re not staying in that fire.” That addiction is not how your story ends. The fourth man is about to show up, and things are about to turn in your favour. What you thought was going to stop you is going to promote you instead. No matter what surrounds you, keep the right perspective. God has it surrounded.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that when I am surrounded with challenges, I can stay in peace knowing that You are surrounding me. Thank You that You are with me in the fire whether I can see You or not. I declare that You are greater than any force that comes against me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    MONDAY AUGUST 25, 2025.

    THE ONE THING.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Philippians 3:13, TLB-
I am still not all I should be, but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.

    TODAY’S WORD:
Some people say the richest place in the world has to be the diamond mines in South Africa or the Middle Eastern oil fields, but it’s in graveyards. In the graves are buried dreams, books that were never written, songs that were never sung, businesses that were never started, inventions that were never developed, relationships that were never formed. So many people never developed the gifts and talents God entrusted them with. What could you be at this time next year if you got rid of the distractions and things that are not producing good fruit and put all your efforts into the main thing that you know God put in your heart? It may mean taking a class, getting things lined up to start that business, and finding a mentor who can help develop your skills. You may be good at doing many things, but you can’t do many things great. Sometimes we’re too spread out. Paul says, “This one thing I do.” Find that one thing and excel at it. Find that one thing and do it to the best of your ability.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for the gifts and talents You have given to me which are unique to my life. Thank You that creating me to develop them and use them to make a difference in the world. I declare that I will focus on that one main thing that You put in my heart and excel at it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    HAPPY NEW MONTH.

    MONDAY SEPTEMBER 1, 2025.

    FINISHED WITH FEAR.

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
    2 Timothy 1:7, NLT-
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

    TODAY'S WORD:
So many people today are missing out on God’s abundant joy, peace and victory because they keep giving in to a spirit of fear. They are afraid to make a decision, afraid to confront issues, afraid to step out in faith, afraid of the past, and afraid of the future! But we don’t have to live that way.

Always remember, fear is not from God. God has given you power, and His power is greater than any other power in the universe! You have to decide to confront and conquer fear head-on with the Word of God. His Word is truth that sets you free!

You can’t be passive and expect to live in victory. The next time you feel fear, declare today’s verse in 2 Timothy 1:7. Tell fear it has to go and walk in freedom. Sing a song of praise and declare that God is empowering you. Focus on Him, find freedom, and move boldly into the blessing He has prepared for you!

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for giving me power to overcome fear. I choose to face fear head-on and drive it out of my life. Show me any areas of my life where fear is holding me back so that I can press forward into the life of victory You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  • MORNING TEA

    WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 3, 2025.

    TUNE OUT, TUNE IN.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Psalm 125:4, NLT-
O LORD, do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with you.

    TODAY’S WORD:
David was careful about who he allowed in his ear. When Samuel came to choose the next king, David’s father didn’t believe enough in him to call him in from the shepherds’ fields. Feeling the sting of rejection, he could have let his father’s opinion of him cause him to be insecure and intimidated. David’s oldest brother, Eliab, tried to make him feel small, as if he wasn’t up to par. When David told King Saul he wanted to fight Goliath, Saul said, “Don’t be ridiculous! You’re just a boy.” If David had listened to those voices, we wouldn’t be talking about him. The enemy would love to use people to discourage you, to talk you out of your dreams, to convince you to live intimidated by giants. But you wouldn’t be facing a giant if you weren’t already equipped to defeat it. If that obstacle was too big, God wouldn’t have put you there. Tune out those negative voices. Tune in to what God says about you. You’re a giant killer, a history maker, a barrier breaker.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that I am not limited by what the people around me say or think about me. Thank You that You have equipped me to do what You have destined me to do. I will not allow others to get in my ear and put a limitation on what You have put in my heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • AFTERNOON TEA

    FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 5, 2025.

    TAKE THE LIMITS OFF.

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
    Ephesians 2:6-7, AMPC-
"He raised us together with Him…that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favour)"

TODAY'S WORD: Sometimes we think so small. We limit our possibilities and potential. When God sees you, He sees all your potential. God knows what you’re capable of. His grace and favour in your life enable you to become what He sees. But first, you have to open your heart and take the limits off your life.

How do we limit God? We limit God in our thinking. Thoughts of doubt, unbelief and unforgiveness in your heart will close the door to His favour. In Mark 6, it says that Jesus could do no great works in a particular town because of the unbelief of the people. It works the same way today. On the other hand, when you choose thoughts of faith and expectancy, you are opening the door for God to work in your life. You are taking the limits off. You are allowing Him to multiply what you have in your hand. Choose to take the limits off by choosing His thoughts of victory. Choose thoughts of increase and blessing. As you do, you’ll rise higher and higher and live the abundant life He has prepared for you!

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, I choose faith! I choose Your unlimited grace and favour. I choose to believe that You have good things in store for me. You use me for Your glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  • MORNING TEA

    SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6, 2025.

    DO IT IN ADVANCE.

    TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
    Genesis 12:8, NLT-
There, he built another altar and dedicated it to the LORD, and he worshipped the LORD.

    TODAY’S WORD:
In Genesis 12, God told Abraham that he was going to become the father of many nations, that his descendants would own all the land, that he was going to be blessed and become a great blessing. When Abraham heard this incredible promise, he built an altar and worshipped the Lord. What’s interesting is that the promise hadn’t come to pass. He wasn’t a father, and his wife, Sarah, was barren. He didn’t own any land. Yet he built an altar simply to thank God for what He promised. This is showing us a principle. Don’t wait for the promise to come to pass. Thank God in advance for what He said He would do for you. “God, You said my children will be mighty in the land.” Your child might be running with the wrong crowd, but build your altar now. Thank God before you see the promise. That’s what faith is all about. When God sees your altar, when He hears you thanking Him, praising Him, declaring His goodness, that’s when doors will open, healing will come, and favour is released.

    PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that my faith and trust are anchored to You and the promises in Your Word. Thank You that I don’t have to be moved by the tests and troubles I face because I am fully persuaded You will do what You promised. I declare that my hope is in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
