• Names of people who are g@y continued…

While the rest of the world are having conversations about AI, Robotics and the future of energy, my people in Nigeria are occupied with a list of g@ys from gistlover blog.

So I thought I should contribute to the list. Here are interesting personalities who are also g@y:

    1. Tim Cook – CEO of Apple, one of the most influential figures in the tech industry.

    2. Ellen DeGeneres – Comedian, television host, and actress known for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
    3. Anderson Cooper – Journalist and anchor for CNN, known for his work on Anderson Cooper 360°.

    4. Laverne Cox – Actress and LGBTQ+ activist, famous for her role in Orange Is the New Black.

    5. Pete Buttigieg – U.S. Secretary of Transportation, former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and 2020 presidential candidate.

    6. Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir – Former Prime Minister of Iceland and the first openly g@y head of state.

    7. Elton John – Legendary musician and singer, known for his philanthropic work in HIV/AIDS awareness.

The difference between the above names and the names released by Gistlover is that the people listed here boldly IDENTIFIED as g@y - they don’t live in a hypocritical society.

While I am definitely Pro-Heterosexuality and do not support immoral s£xual behaviours, yet I am shocked that an entire generation of a youth populated nation is primarily occupied by gossips of who’s g@y and who’s not.

There are those who will still misunderstand this post so let me state the sole purpose of this post - I just want Nigerians to upgrade their national conversations on social media from who’s sleeping with who to who’s building what and with who. Instead of investigating someone’s s£x partner, why not use that time to study who’s their business partner. I took time to research who the Chinese partner Davido’s dad mentioned is and I found out.

Why should I care about the man’s s£xual partner when what I need to know is his business partner?

Why should I care about a g@y when I don’t know which company is getting listed next on the NSE?

The CEO of that iPhone in your hands is openly g@y…. While it doesn’t make it right but it just screams “mind your business” so you don’t Slav£ for people you consider immoral.

  • Do Looks Matter in the Workplace?

From beards to dreadlocks, tribal marks, and a more casual dress sense—do these really affect corporate success?

Just this Monday morning, I got a report that a neighbour’s son was denied entry into an interview section because of his beard.

    Hmmm... does that still happen?

During the Diamond Bank and Access Bank merger, it was shared in one seminar that a tie doesn’t bring in customers or money, and managers should focus more on the work than appearances.

Do you agree or beg to differ? Let’s discuss this!

Share your thoughts below! Let’s dive into this debate on looks vs performance.

Have a beautiful and fruitful week ahead!

  • The world is smaller than we think.

I remember my first day at a company I later led. The receptionist, unaware of who I was, treated me poorly.

Little did she know she was mistreating her future boss.

She thought I would reciprocate by treating her badly—but of course, I didn’t.

Instead, she became one of the most loyal people I worked with. She was always quick to please me and show me her best side.

This experience taught me the difference between being a strong leader and being a wicked one.

Power should never be used to perpetuate cruelty. Instead, foster love and peace in the workplace—key ingredients for achieving organizational success.

DON’T OPPRESS PEOPLE WITH YOUR POSITION!

This message isn’t just for managers and CEOs—it’s for everyone.

Haven't you ever seen a security guard favor those who slip a bribe?
Or a waiter giving better attention to someone who says, "Keep the change"?
What about nurses who mistreat patients? The list is endless.

What’s an example you’re familiar with? Share below!

  • To be an outstanding person, you must be Consistently Giving Value that aligns with your Purpose

This was the major insight that I got from panel discussions at the two events I attended last week, namely #HotelExpoNigeria2024 (#HEN2024) and #HowWeMadeItInAfrica (#HWMIIA)

Other things I learnt from the brilliant speakers are:
    - Events are a great place to interact with public figures and people who share similar interests as you

    - Building an impactful brand also requires the confidence to let people see the person or people behind the brand

    - Be authentic, your experiences and processes can help others overcome their current struggles

    - Always have a benchmark of excellent people in the world that inspire your craft while making good use of where you currently are

    - Collaboration is a fast way to expand your reach

    - Keep improving and learning new things

    - An effective way to get people's attention is to document your process

    - Innovation requires experimenting as some of the greatest discoveries were birthed by several failures, accidents and experiments

    - Study your competition to find gaps and create opportunities that make you unique

    - Be flexible and adaptable to changes in your industry

    - If you have passion for something, share it consistently even if you don't always get the likes, comments, and views you expect

    - To be an amazing content creator, you must have a clear intention and a defined audience because your content is not for everybody

    - Learn to accept the positive labels people put on you because of your content e.g. Pastor, Marketing Pro, Influencer, Leader, CEO etc.

    - The Holy Spirit is there to always guide you, not just in spiritual matters but in all of life's matters including content creation - don't limit the Holy Spirit

    - The fruits of the spirit in Galatians 5:22-23 are also important recipes that are require for your long-term success in life.

    - Being consistent on social media does not mean you have to post everyday. It means your people (audience) are always guaranteed of one, two or three posts from you every week

    - People gravitate towards or follow you when they perceive that they can get value from you

    - The most profitable niche is yourself, being known for a thing is good but in reality nobody likes seeing the same thing every time

    - Build your brand, create helpful content, sell solutions

    - The most important resource in content creation is your interest - what interests you can make you rich

    - Success is often the outcome of many years of hardwork and consistency

    - People see your consistency, they might not react with a like on your content but they see what you do - keep showing up

    - Leverage culture to connect with people but shape culture to create a better world
